Program Assessment and Evaluation

The role of the evaluation process is to determine how well the goals and objectives of the program are being served. A comprehensive evaluation framework is developed that employs two evaluation strategies:

(1)   Formative evaluation to address issues concerning program improvements as adjustments and modifications made at the various stages or steps taken to implement them.

(2)   Summative evaluation to be concerned with issues involving the assessment of the program's overall impact and effectiveness.

The strategies of both formative and summative evaluations involve questionnaire surveys and group and individual interviews of the participants/students in the program, the employess and the stakeholders.  Furthermore, a mapping of the program's strategic key performance indicators to its operational key performance indicators are developed and a comprehensive assessment of the achieved outcomes, in comparison to the initially set performance targets, need to incorporated in the overall assessment and evaluation framework.
